About c'Hiboulette

The bilingual, French - English, preschool, c’Hiboulette, welcomes young children aged from 18 to 60 months, open from 8am till 6pm every weekday. c’Hiboulette strives to offer a place of quality which facilitates the child to develop him/her self in a new language, to grow and learn harmoniously whilst still having the security of his/her mother tongue.

             

What motivates us?

In our continuously changing society, and with the explosion of the internet, the need to understand and speak English is becoming increasingly important (apparent). It is with this in mind that we wish to better prepare the children to acquire and perfect their knowledge of the English language. The same is true for English mother-tongue children living in the French speaking part of Switzerland who do not speak French at home.

An invitation by immersion is proposed to them to make their passage into a francophone school easier, yet still preserving their native language. As we are persuaded that learning a new language is done naturally and simply at that age, we would like to provide them the best possible environment to help them along as early as possible.

We think that every child is a unique individual, and for that reason, we commit ourselves to provide quality service, to listen to what the child has to say, to help him deal with fatigue, to respect his ideas, to encourage and value the child and, finally, be conscientious of his safety. We also wish to stimulate the child to live with respect and harmoniously with his companions and his environment. We work in an atmosphere where Christian values and traditions are upheld, such as sharing, friendship, forgiveness and integrity.
